For most of us, it takes an emotional tragedy and extreme suffering to truly awaken our understanding and acceptance of God and the divine spiritual connection we have with others and ourselves.   Sometimes, we create these opportunities through our own vague dissatisfaction with our lives ....especially when we finally appear to have 'everything' - is when we are most likely to have that sense of unrest, feeling there is something more, whether manifest in boredom, seeking another "outside" source to fulfill ourselves while never fully realizing that this will never result in true joy and happiness - in that seeking, we tumble, create dramas, conflict and more pain , just to "feel" something - (even "pain and drama" is exciting, after all - and a change from the bland existence of our lives when we are not living with appreciation, purpose and awareness - and just THINK we are.)

Whether coming for an individual session to experience the unique Emotional Freedom Coaching or other energy healing techniques, or to begin a deeper "rabbit-hole" journey of spiritual self-exploration, you'll notice when you arrive here, that unlike Milton's Paradise LOST - Don Milton's environment exudes a "Paradise FOUND! atmosphere, both inside and outside"

Don's living and working space merge into one, with no barriers between whom he is and how he lives his life and what he shares with clients who are open to expanding their lives in many ways.  The journey is intense, invigorating and sometimes even a bit scary, with twists and turns (like life itself) experienced during the introspective process.  There is a peacefulness and serenity in the environment, both inside and out, that surrounds you when you enter the physical space known as "Growth by Design."

Although work can be done over the phone very effectively, many clients report they get so much more than they expected when they come to their appointments at Don's home. The physical location, nestled between commercial and residential property in the heart of Hoover, AL, provides a safe and pleasing environment for private appointments.  Before or after your appointments, clients sometimes choose to relax outside, in the peaceful beautiful haven overlooking a prayer garden created within a 7-circuit labyrinth.  The labyrinth also provides an optional walking meditation for those interested, and is one of only 3 in the Birmingham area, listed on the national labyrinth registry.  Here, you are a guest - in the truest sense, of "Mother Earth."

Interactions with your "life coach," are informal, yet mildly structured, and set with ethical intention.   You're often greeted with homemade Chai tea and other delicious and nutritious homemade refreshments before or after your sessions here.

Whether you come here for one session or to begin the 12-week Intensive program, you receive the benefit of the "fully present" coaching style of Don as he works with you.   Your time is respected and appointment times are never booked back to back, in order to allow extra time and attention, as needed, for each client.

For those clients who choose to do the 12-week intensive transformational program, Don provides a selection of books, bookmarks with inspirational verses, journals, and other accessories needed for that process. He is also fully committed to supporting them totally during the program by phone or in person, as needed. These clients have the opportunity to join a support group of those who are doing, or have done, the 12-week program, and want others that they can share and connect with at a deep level. This support group has proved to be invaluable to many clients and quite often very close friendships are developed from this introduction through Don.
